John Adam Lemp arrived from Germany in 1838; he established his brewery in St. Louis. He was able to utilize natural caves for refrigeration. His son William J. Lemp took over the business and built the Lemp Brewery industrial complex which still stands in St. Louis today. In 1903 Lemp Brewing registerd the Falstaff trademark & logo. This first release of this series is painted dark green. The bold layered lettering spans the side of the car and is bordered in white. The colorful Lemp Brewing Co. logo is displayed on both ends
