NYC & HR Refrigerator cars in series 154000-154584 had a capacity of 80,000 pounds and an interior length of 33 feet. The dimensions were specifically calculated by a master builder and based on being able to accommodate an ideal load of 800 cases of egg crates! These dimensions would vary slightly for the acquiring railroads. These cars received red, white, and blue stripes on the all white scheme and ride on Bettendorf trucks.
