About Micro-Trains
Micro-Trains Line Co. is a revered name in the model railroading industry, known for its precision and innovation. Our story began in the 1940s with the pioneering spirit of Keith and Dale Edwards, whose passion for detail and functionality led to the creation of the Magne-Matic® coupler system. This innovation set a new standard for model railroading, becoming the “Standard by Choice” for hobbyists worldwide.
In the late 1960s, as N Scale was gaining popularity, we successfully developed an N-Scale version of our legendary coupler system. The introduction of our first Micro-Trains® freight car in November 1972 marked a significant milestone in our history. Our products, known for their exquisite craftsmanship and detail, quickly became the finest model railroad cars available.
The 1990s brought a new era for Micro-Trains. We became an independent entity, known as Micro-Trains® Line Co., and continued to innovate and expand our product line. Our commitment to quality and authenticity has never wavered, and we proudly carry on the tradition of excellence that our founders started.
