N I&M Rail Link/ex-SOO Line Weathered 2-Pack

N Scale 40’ Standard Box Car, Single Door

These 40’ boxcars, still in their fading Soo Line paint, were patched over by I&M Rail Link (IMRL) which was a regional Class II railroad. It operated 1,385 miles of track across Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin from 1997 to 2002. The Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railroad, known as the Soo Line, was in operation from 1949 until 1990, when it was consolidated into Canadian Pacific as a subsidiary, now under Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) control.
